An anonymous donor has established two scholarships of $1000 each for deserving seniors graduating from Hood River Valley High School.
CRITERIA
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must attend an Oregon college or university
SUPPLEMENTAL
- Essay: Discuss the role that service has played in your life, and how that commitment has shaped your objectives for college and beyond. Please pick a few examples from your volunteer experiences and write about how those influenced your commitment to helping others.
SCORING
Student applications will be scored according to the % shown:
- Community service and/or involvement* (25%)
- School activities* (25%)
- Essay (50%)
*Past recipients have exceeded 300 hours in both community service and school activities
