Outside Scholarship & Aid Opportunities

These scholarships opportunities are independent of the local E-Scholarship portal. Students will not be able to apply for these opportunities through Kaleidoscope. To apply, read and follow the instructions for the individual scholarship.

Oregon Grants

Local Scholarships

These scholarships are open to students in Hood River County, or students in Hood River County as well as neighboring counties.

Mt. Adams Fruit Scholarship (click link to download scholarship documents)

  • Applicant is a high school senior whose parent is employed at Mt. Adams Fruit Company
  • Planning to attend a four-year college (preferred, not required)

Oregon Women for Agriculture, Columbia Gorge Chapter (click link to download scholarship documents)

  • Preferred applicant is female HS senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher who is pursuing a degree in agriculture

Oregon Scholarships

These selected scholarships are open to students across Oregon. In addition to these scholarships, visit Oregon Goes to College for a larger selection of scholarships open to Oregonians.

Oregon 4H Scholarships – Multiple Scholarships (click link to visit website)

  • Participation in 4H programs for a minimum of 3 years required
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Oregon Human Development Organization (OHDC) Scholarships (download materials in English / en Español)

  • Must be farm worker or dependent (child or spouse) of farm worker
  • Ages 16-24 and authorized to work in the USA
  • Financial Need

Renaissance Scholars Program (click link to visit website)

  • HS senior or Community College student attending four-year school in fall of 2022 IN Oregon
  • First person in family to attend four-year college / university
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Financial Need

Mente Scholarship (click link to visit website)

  • Applicant is Latinx male
  • HS senior or current college student attending two or four-year school in fall of 2022
  • Financial Need

OCF Institute for Cultural Initiatives Scholarship (click link to download scholarship documents)

  • Applicant must be bilingual Latino student attending community college in Oregon in fall of 2022

The Ford Family Foundation Scholarships (click link to visit website)

  • Oregon high school senior planning to enroll in 4-year program at Oregon college or university

Oregon Grants

Note: Many Oregon student aid grants have a limited pool of funds. Apply as close to October 1 as possible. Grants are available for students attending participating Oregon schools.

Oregon Opportunity Grant

  • Open to students attending community college or university
  • Not all schools participate
  • DACA students not eligible

Oregon Promise Grant

  • Open to students attending community college
  • DACA students eligible

Oregon Barber & Hairdresser Grant

Oregon Student Childcare Grant

  • Provides childcare funding for Oregon students with children

Deceased or Disabled Public Safety Officer Grant

  • For children of public safety officers killed or disabled in their line of duty

Chafee Education & Training Grant

  • For current and former foster children under the age of 26

Oregon National Guard State Tuition Assistance

  • For students who are current members of the Oregon National Guard
  • Open to students attending community college, public university and some private colleges
