Donors Rod and Mary Anne Parrott worked for an educational foundation for many years after being on the receiving end of scholarships for their education. With this scholarship fund for Hood River Valley High School graduates, they hope to assist students, especially those whose families are unable to help much, if at all, with the cost of a college education.
This is one $2,000 scholarship, renewable for 3 additional years at $2,000 per year for a total of $8,000.
CRITERIA
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Applicant is eligible for free or reduced lunch
SUPPLEMENTAL
- Essay: Describe the value of higher education in general, and the reason for your chosen career path. 250-500 word length.
- The FAFSA / ORSAA is required for this scholarship.
