In cooperation with the Hood River County Education Foundation
This scholarship has been updated for the 2022-23 year.
Isabel Gilkerson made a generous bequest to the Education Foundation through the proceeds of the sale of her orchard property in Duke’s Valley. She wanted to help students who might not be able to go to college without financial support, especially students who are likely to succeed in college and who do not receive other awards from the Hood River County Education Foundation.
This scholarship is for three awards of $5000 each, depending on need. The scholarship may be renewed for up to three years. The renewal award amount is based on investment income and varies from year to year; the anticipated renewal award amount for current recipients is between $1800 to $2200. If you have questions, please contact HRCEF at ed.foundation@hoodriver.k12.or.us.
