In Cooperation with the Gorge Community Foundation
The Hood River Valley LEO Club advisors have established a scholarship through the Gorge Community Foundation to recognize a graduating senior(s) who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to serving our community through their successful participation in the HRV Leos Club. The scholarship(s) will normally be between $500 and $2000. Successful recipients may apply for additional scholarships during their college sophomore, junior and senior years.
CRITERIA
- Demonstrated participation in service to the community. Priority will be given to active members of the Hood River Valley Leo Club.
- Commitment to continue service to community while in college
SUPPLEMENTAL
- Essay: Discuss the role that service has played in your life, your personal goals, the role you hope service will play in the future, and how this scholarship will affect your plans.
- One Confidential Evaluation Form from someone who is aware of the applicant’s service history (other than a Leo advisor).
- Applicants may be required to interview with the scholarship committee.
- The FAFSA or ORSAA is required for this scholarship.
